In many places the view, especially from the lower water level, is mostly concrete.

In other places there’s so much greenery the modern concrete and metal walls are barely visible. Our first view of a pipe bridge is glimpsed between the trees.

The two concrete sections of the pipe bridge barely seem to meet in the middle and I wonder that holds them together.

In the distance is the arch of Heworth Green Bridge.
