Cash’s are probably know to many for their production of name tapes to be sown into school uniforms. They commissioned these three storey buildings with dwellings on the lower two floors and workshops on the top floor. The workshops, known as “Cash’s Topshops” were made into one long room with equipment powered by a steam-powered beam engine.
