Most of the bridges between Fazeley Junction and Whittington are similar in style. As this section of canal was constructed by the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal Company these bridges all carry names rather than numbers which are used on most other canals, including the adjacent Coventry Canal.

The road sign above the bridge shows “Coventry Canal”. Although the Act of Parliament authorised the Coventry Canal Company to build this section of canal they didn’t have the funds to do so and it was built by the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal Company in their style.
