Difficult to Identify the Canal Route

The footpath climbs to pass over the mouth of Aylestone Tunnel, with the channel, to the right, becoming less distinct as we approach the tunnel.  The tunnel is said to be in good condition, and the channel to the tunnel mouth at this end will be restored by the builders of the adjacent housing estate as a requirement of their planning consent.
