That looks superb Paul. How have you decided what information to include? Will it be purely navigational information, or will it include canal-side amenities?

Neil: Thanks for the comment. These are “cruising maps” intended to cover everything you need to cruise which is connected to boating. That’s Locks, Bridges, Winding Holes, Pumpouts etc, as listed in the key on the last page.
I don’t have the resources to include pubs, supermarkets etc and keep the information up to date single handed.

It looks great to me Paul, really user friendly … I hope I get a chance to use your map once the canal it is all fully open. Nick Ferrar

Enjoyed the map Paul, and the photos. I followed the map whilst looking at the photos – wonderful. I was confused, however with the numbers of the Barge Canal locks – your map numbers them 8 down to 1 (ladywood Top) but the photos are numbered from 1 at Hawford. Which will be the official numbers, and perhaps the map and photos should should be consistent with these?

Nick: I certainly hope we’ll all get the chance to use the map later this year. We’re planning a new pair of DVDs for the Droitwich Canals as soon as we can.

Marian: Thanks for the feedback. We’ve uploaded a new map with the corrected numbering so download a new copy and that will be fine.

I clicked on the link to download the Droitwich Canal Map but it was ‘not found’. Perhaps somebody left the paddles up!

Chas: I’ve fixed the link, thanks for pointing out the problem.
